Overview

An EMT course built to the National EMS Education Standards: assessment, airway and ventilation, medical and trauma emergencies, obstetrics, pediatrics and operations, with clinical and field shifts. Utah requires every EMT course to run at least 120 hours, with at least 70 hours of in-person skills instruction, and every skills station keeps a 1:6 instructor ratio in any format. Choose in person at our training center, hybrid (online lectures with Saturday skills labs) or live online lectures with in-person skills labs. Graduates sit the NREMT EMT cognitive exam and a state-approved skills exam, then apply for a Utah EMT license.

Up to six attempts with a 15-day wait between them. After a third failed attempt NREMT requires remedial education, such as the 20-hour EMT national component, before attempt four.
