Sound Familiar?
For many providers, the only time on a manikin comes at renewal. Then the rare call comes in, and the reps were never there.
High-fidelity manikins and simulation equipment are priced for hospitals and universities. Many agencies and individual providers rarely get time on them outside a testing station.
The pediatric airway. The needle decompression. Running the megacode as team lead. Low-frequency skills slip quietly, and you find out on the call or in front of an evaluator.
No one should be trying a skill for the first time in a year on someone who needs it done right. Providers deserve a place to make mistakes, debrief and run it again before it counts.
We Understand
Every provider dreads the call where a skill they have not touched in a year suddenly matters. Our simulation labs give hospital and prehospital providers a place to walk in, pick up the gear and work that skill until it feels routine again. No card on the line, just reps, and in facilitated sessions, straight feedback from educators who know what the job asks of you.
How It Works
Choose open practice, a facilitated scenario block, megacode prep, VR scenarios or skills competency prep. Each session page lists what it covers and who it is built for.
Reserve a scheduled time by the hour, or request a private block for your crew, unit or class. Pick the prehospital skills bay, the hospital simulation room or the VR lab.
Work the skill until it holds up. Facilitated sessions close with a debrief, so you leave knowing what to keep doing and what to fix before the next call.

Best for Providers, crews and hospital units who come to us for hands-on time.
Run scenarios in hospital and prehospital rooms with manikins, virtual reality and advanced equipment.
Best for Crews who want more reps on high-risk, low-frequency skills.
The Stakes Are Real
If the only practice you get is on test day, the rare procedures are rusty when the call finally comes.
ACLS and PALS testing puts you in team cases on a manikin, and you may be asked to lead one. Leading a code for the first time in front of an evaluator is a hard way to learn the algorithm.
Buying high-fidelity manikins and simulators for a few training days a year rarely makes sense for one agency.
With nowhere to rehearse, the first try at a skill in months happens on someone who needs it done right.
Book lab time before a shift, a test or a return from leave, and practice exactly the skills you want to sharpen.
Run the algorithms as team lead on a manikin and debrief every case before you face the graded station.
Use our manikins, task trainers and VR setups by the hour, and leave the upkeep, storage and setup to us.
Debrief, reset and run the case again until the skill holds up under pressure, with nobody at risk.
Questions
Providers and students at every level, from EMR to paramedic, plus nurses, physicians and other hospital staff. Open lab hours cover skills from any course we teach. Book the Open Skills Lab prehospital bay for field skills on task trainers and manikins, or the Hospital Simulation Room for in-hospital scenarios. Each session page lists who it is built for and any prerequisites.
It depends on the session. Open lab time in the skills bay and the VR lab is practice you run yourself. In the Hospital Simulation Room our sim tech runs the manikin while your own instructor runs the cases. Coached skills sessions and the skills competency prep day include an educator who watches and corrects each run. Megacode prep, VR scenario blocks and agency simulation blocks include a facilitator who runs the cases and leads the debrief.
Any skill sheets or course materials you are working from, and clothes you can kneel and move in. Bring your ACLS or PALS reference cards to megacode prep. We supply the manikins, task trainers and VR headsets.
Yes. Agencies, fire departments, hospital units and course coordinators can request a private block for competency days, onboarding or class skills practice. Tell us your group size, the skills or scenarios you want and which room you need, and we will build the block around it.
Lab time is practice. On its own it does not award CE hours, an AHA course completion card, an NAEMT provider card, NREMT certification or a state license, and megacode prep does not replace your AHA skills session. If a session is ever offered as part of an accredited CE course, we will say so where the session is listed.
Yes. Skills competency prep runs practice stations for patient assessment, airway and BVM, bleeding control, splinting and cardiac arrest. EMR and EMT candidates still complete a state-approved skills exam, and your state or program sets its skill sheets, so bring the forms you will be tested on. The NREMT stopped its separate AEMT and Paramedic psychomotor exam after June 30, 2024. Lab practice does not replace your official skills exam.
Open a lab session and select Book Lab Time, or Reserve Spot for a scheduled lab. We hold your time and email you the details. Contact us before the hold ends to pay by card over the phone or an agency purchase order. If no time works for you, request one.
Cancellation and reschedule terms depend on the session type and are shown before you reserve. Contact us as early as you can and we will help you move to another open time.
