Overview

PHTLS is the NAEMT trauma course developed with the American College of Surgeons Committee on Trauma. Over 16 hours you work through scene size-up, primary survey, hemorrhage control, airway and ventilation, shock, head and spinal injury, pain management and special populations, using case studies, skills stations and patient simulations. Take it in class over two days, or hybrid: 8 hours online at your own pace, then an 8-hour skills day. Current edition: 10th.
