Overview

Seven classroom modules that prepare paramedics for community paramedicine practice and for the IBSC Community Paramedic (CP-C) exam: Cardiovascular Disorders (3.5 to 5 h), Endocrine Disorders (3.5 to 4 h), Hospice and Palliative Care (5 h), Mental Health and Substance Use Disorders (6 h), Motivational Interviewing (6 h), Respiratory Disorders (5 h) and Wellness and Nutrition (3 h). NAEMT's website and its 2026 catalog list different hours for the cardiovascular and endocrine modules. Each module stands alone and awards CAPCE CE for its own hours. Check acceptance with your state EMS office and NREMT.

No. It prepares you for the IBSC Community Paramedic (CP-C) exam. Board certification comes from IBSC after you pass that exam.

Each module awards CAPCE CE equal to its own hours, 3 to 6 hours. The full series is about 32 to 34 hours, depending on the source NAEMT lists.
