The AHA path to teaching Advanced Stroke Life Support. Complete ASLS Instructor Essentials Online, attend this 8-hour hands-on session with ASLS Faculty, then be monitored teaching an ASLS provider course within six months. ACLS Instructors still take ASLS Instructor Essentials. The combined Prehospital and In-Hospital provider track suits candidates who will test both audiences. The AHA awards 6.25 CAPCE hours for the hands-on session. The online course (28-1037) and the ASLS Instructor Manual are bought separately.

FAQ
After the classroom session you must be monitored teaching your first course within six months. Your instructor eCard is issued after a successful monitoring, and it is valid for two years. Renewal requires teaching at least four courses in those two years.
Yes, awarded by the AHA, not by Code Blue: 6.25 CAPCE hours for the hands-on Instructor Essentials session and 0.25 for the online portion.
